BYD Cuts Up to £1,000 off Entire Range in Four-Day Summer Sales Event

Up to £1,000 off BYD’s entire range in the Drive Into Summer Sales Event

BYD has launched a four-day Drive Into Summer Sales Event, with up to £1,000 knocked off cars across its entire UK range. The deal runs from Thursday 18 June and ends on Sunday 21 June, so anyone weighing up one of the Chinese brand’s electric or plug-in hybrid models has a short window to take advantage.

The saving comes in the form of a deposit contribution, which is money BYD puts towards your finance deposit to lower either your upfront cost or your monthly payments. Selected models qualify for the full £1,000, and on some cars that figure stacks on top of an existing discount, pushing the total saving higher still. Here is how the headline deals break down.

BYD has grown quickly in Britain since its first cars went on sale in 2023, expanding its dealer network and its range at pace, and short sales events like this one are part of how it keeps that momentum going. For buyers, the practical result is that several of its newest models can be had for less than usual this week.

Up to £1,865 off the BYD Seal

The Seal saloon is one of the cars in the event, and it has been updated for 2026 with new colour and trim choices, a larger boot and front storage area, and insurance ratings that drop by two groups compared with the original car launched in 2023. Lower insurance groups should mean cheaper cover, which is a useful saving on top of the deal itself.

The £1,000 deposit contribution on the Seal is added to an existing discount, taking the total customer saving to £1,865. BYD quotes the top Excellence trim, which can sprint from 0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds, at £457 per month on a Personal Contract Purchase deal with a £3,999 customer deposit. That makes the quickest version of the Seal the one with the largest headline saving in the range.

Family SUV and Crossover Deals

The Seal U DM-i is the brand’s most popular Dual Mode plug-in hybrid, and BYD points to its roomy cabin, in-car technology and SUV styling as the reasons. During the event it gets an extra £500 deposit contribution, which takes the total contribution to £1,350. In Comfort trim, that brings monthly payments down to £378 with a £2,999 customer deposit.

Buyers after a fully electric family car are pointed towards the ATTO 3 Evo, an updated version of the first BYD to go on sale in the UK back in 2023. It now charges at up to 220kW, uses a 74.8kWh battery and claims a range of up to 316 miles, with 449PS in Excellence trim. The ATTO 3 Evo gets the largest extra deposit contribution at £750, and with a £2,999 deposit it is available from £403 per month, helped along by a 0 per cent finance rate. The Excellence version comes with heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and Google Built-In.

Between the three cars, BYD has covered most of the bases a family buyer might be shopping for, from a quick saloon to a plug-in hybrid SUV for drivers not ready to go fully electric, to a battery-powered crossover with a competitive charging speed. The deposit contributions are weighted towards the cars BYD most wants to move, with the electric ATTO 3 Evo getting the biggest extra boost.

Read the Small Print Before Sunday

As with any finance offer, the monthly figures depend on the small print. BYD’s quoted deals are based on Personal Contract Purchase agreements over 49 months with a mileage limit of 6,000 miles a year, which is on the low side for many drivers and could mean extra charges if you cover more. The Seal Excellence example is based on a £3,999 deposit at £457 per month, the Seal U DM-i on a £1,999 deposit at £376 per month, and the ATTO 3 Evo Excellence on a £2,999 deposit at £403 per month.

Anyone interested should compare the total cost of the deal, not just the monthly payment, and check how the optional final payment at the end of a PCP works before signing. It is also worth weighing these offers against rival deals on cars such as the Tesla Model 3, the Kia EV6 and the Volkswagen ID.4, which sit in the same part of the market. Full terms and conditions are listed on BYD’s UK website. With the event closing on Sunday 21 June, buyers who already had one of these models in mind have only a few days to lock in the saving.
