Corrections Policy

Reporting an error

If you think something we have published is wrong, please tell us through the contact form. Include the address of the article, what you believe is incorrect and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

What we do

• We check the claim against the original source.
• If we find an error, we correct the article.
• If a correction changes the meaning of the story, we add a note to the article saying what was changed and when.
• We correct articles rather than deleting them to hide a mistake.

What is not a correction

Differences of opinion, and information that was accurate when we published it but has since changed, are not errors. Where a story has moved on we may update it or publish a follow-up.
