The Bugatti Bolide stands apart as the only modern, track-only creation from Molsheim – a circuit-focused masterpiece that embodies Bugatti’s unwavering commitment to delivering extraordinary experiences. While most lucky Bolide owners eagerly anticipate the exclusive 2025 track sessions that Bugatti is carefully curating for them – where owners will gather to unleash their cars on the asphalt – one passionate racer simply couldn’t wait. Driven by a desire to unlock the full potential of his newly delivered Bolide as soon as possible, he booked a track to feel the thrill – the ultimate Christmas gift to himself.

The U.S. customer, the first to take his Bolide to the track after delivery, was already deeply familiar with the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), a revered jewel of the Formula One calendar. But this wasn’t just another lap for him – this was the moment to push the Bolide to its limits, to experience firsthand the power and precision of Bugatti’s track-only hyper sports car inspired by a rich motorsports heritage.

Bugatti’s expert customer service team had ensured that every detail was covered long before the car hit the tarmac. The day before, the owner was immersed in a static handover and technical briefing, where every nuance of the car was explored, preparing him for what lay ahead on the 5.513-km circuit. With 20 challenging corners, COTA is known for testing even the most skilled drivers, and this preparation only increased his excitement for the unforgettable, adrenaline-fueled day ahead.

As the owner’s anticipation built, the day unfolded methodically to ensure both safety and pleasure. After two warm-up laps, offering insights into the Bolide’s extraordinary handling and capabilities, the car was returned to the pits for final checks. The team meticulously ensured that every detail – from tire pressures to oil levels – was optimized for peak performance.

With the Bolide primed and ready, the owner took to the track, unleashing the car’s full potential across 12 hot laps. The rain added an extra challenge, but it only heightened the thrill, as the driver pushed himself and the Bolide to their limits, reaching a top speed of 333 km/h. For the owner, it wasn’t just about speed; it was the emotion of connecting with a machine built for greatness, and the sense of awe as he felt the full force of Bugatti engineering. Even in the most demanding conditions, the Bolide proved that its unrivaled capability can elevate any driver’s experience to a level few can ever imagine.

“Sitting behind the wheel of this extraordinary machine was unforgettable. Once trained, the Bolide is, as promised, incredibly easy to handle, its performance is completely manageable. Yet, the sensation when you come out of a corner, press the throttle, and feel a relentless surge of power is incomparable. It is all the legendary Bugatti performance, comfort, and innovation wrapped into one machine. Though the rain was an uninvited guest, it added a layer of excitement to this special day. I can’t wait to do it again – I’m already planning another session in February. A big thank you to the Bugatti and Bugatti Beverly Hills teams for their incredible support throughout this journey.” – THE BOLIDE OWNER

Finished in iconic French Racing Blue and featuring bold Nocturne accents, including Nocturne Black Carbon across the lower portions of the car, the customer’s Bolide is a testament to Bugatti’s racing history. Its duotone design, inspired by Bugatti icons past and present – including the legendary Type 35, the most successful racing car in history – pays homage to the brand’s enduring motorsport heritage and cutting-edge design philosophy.

The bespoke configuration extends from the carbon fenders, wings, and splitter to the bold red tail hook, all underscoring the Bolide’s track-focused DNA. Inside, the cockpit blends French Racing Blue with Beluga Black Alcantara and polished aluminum accents. A custom track plate inscribed ‘Équipe Curtis’ adds a personal touch, honoring Ettore Bugatti’s famed ‘Équipe Bugatti’ racing team.

“This kind of experience – a purpose-built, track-only machine powered by Bugatti’s unmatched W16 engine, supported by our dedicated team of experts, and capable of delivering extraordinary drives on some of the world’s most legendary circuits – is something only Bugatti can offer. With a rich racing heritage that includes the Type 35, the most successful yet agile racing car of all time, Bugatti continues to embody the pinnacle of engineering excellence. The Bolide, with its uncompromising design, showcases Bugatti’s commitment to pure performance. Powered by the legendary W16 engine, which has been the heart of every road-going Bugatti for 20 years now, it offers a driving experience unlike any other – one that pushes the boundaries of track performance. This first circuit experience is just the beginning – with many more to come in 2025.” – HENDRIK MALINOWSKI, MANAGING DIRECTOR AT BUGATTI.
