Dacia Duster and Bigster Hybrid 155 Prices Cut by Up to £1,750

Dacia has cut prices across the Duster and Bigster hybrid 155 ranges by up to £1,750, dropping the Duster hybrid 155 to a new starting price of £23,345 on the road and the Bigster hybrid 155 to £26,715 on the road. The move comes as many rivals hold or raise prices, and it puts both SUVs among the cheapest hybrids in their respective classes.

The Duster hybrid 155 range drops by £1,750 across the board, while Bigster hybrid 155 models fall by £1,475. A Duster Cargo hybrid 155, aimed at small business buyers, now starts from £22,495 excluding VAT. Dacia says production efficiencies built up as the hybrid 155 powertrain has bedded in allow it to pass savings on directly, rather than trimming specification to hit a lower price point.

What’s Under the Bonnet

The hybrid 155 system pairs a 109hp four-cylinder petrol engine with a 49hp electric motor and a small 1.4kWh battery, sending power through a clutchless multi-mode automatic gearbox. Combined output is 155hp with 205Nm of torque, enough for a 0-60mph time of 8.6 seconds. Dacia quotes WLTP fuel economy above 55mpg and CO2 emissions of 105g/km, figures the brand credits partly to the battery recharging itself through regenerative braking rather than needing a plug. Dacia claims that setup lets the car run in electric-only mode for around 80 percent of typical city driving time, cutting fuel use in stop-start traffic without the extra cost or home-charging requirement of a plug-in hybrid.

What You Get for the Money

Both SUVs keep their existing three-trim structure. Expression covers the basics buyers need day to day, Journey adds extra comfort and convenience equipment, and Extreme brings a tougher look aimed at drivers who spend more time off the beaten track. Full Duster hybrid 155 pricing now runs from £23,345 for Expression, through £25,045 for Journey, to £25,845 for Extreme. The Bigster hybrid 155 starts at £26,715 for Expression, rising to £28,265 for Journey and £28,515 for Extreme.

It means even more customers can enjoy hybrid power, strong equipment levels and the space and versatility these two SUVs offer.”

An Extra £1,000 for Early Orders

Dacia has paired the price cuts with its Everyday Explorer Event, running until 24th August 2026. Buyers who order any Duster by that date and register the car before 30th September qualify for an additional £1,000 contribution from Dacia on top of the reduced hybrid 155 pricing, a combination that could bring total savings on some Duster hybrid 155 models to £2,750 against the previous list price.

How the Pricing Compares

The Duster hybrid 155’s £23,345 starting price undercuts most hybrid rivals in the small SUV class. A Suzuki Vitara full hybrid starts from around £27,500, while an MG HS Hybrid+ begins closer to £29,500, though the HS is a larger, five-seat family SUV that lines up more directly against the Bigster. Dacia’s own Bigster stays a five-seat model too, rather than offering a seven-seat option; the brand has said in the past that adding a third row would eat into rear legroom in a way that would undercut the point of a bigger, roomier five-seater. Against that backdrop, the reduced Bigster hybrid 155 pricing, now from £26,715, puts a noticeably larger SUV within reach of buyers who might otherwise have settled for a smaller hybrid crossover on space grounds alone.

Running Costs

Beyond the purchase price, the hybrid 155 powertrain’s WLTP CO2 figure of 105g/km keeps first-year Vehicle Excise Duty at £405 across most Duster and Bigster hybrid 155 trims, rising only for the Extreme grade’s larger wheels in some configurations. The Duster Cargo hybrid 155, registered as a commercial vehicle, carries a lower £360 first-year VED rate. From the second year, all versions move onto the standard flat-rate VED band that applies to petrol and hybrid cars registered after April 2017, now £200 a year following the April 2026 increase, plus the additional rate that applies to cars costing more than £40,000 when new, which does not affect any version of the Duster or Bigster hybrid 155 given their pricing stays well below that threshold.

Dacia has sold more than 260,000 vehicles in the UK from launching here in January 2013, with the Duster its best-selling model both in the UK and across Europe. The brand launched the hybrid 155 powertrain across the Duster and Bigster ranges in late 2025, and has now sold enough of them to justify passing production savings directly on to customers rather than holding prices at their original level.

Buyers considering either SUV should factor in the Everyday Explorer Event’s registration deadline. Missing the 30th September cut-off would mean losing access to the additional £1,000 contribution. Dacia has not set an end date for the underlying hybrid 155 price cuts, and there is no indication they will revert once the Everyday Explorer Event closes.
