2027 Subaru Uncharted Holds at $34,995 With Up to 338 Horsepower and 308-Mile Range

Subaru has confirmed pricing for the 2027 Uncharted, and the headline for buyers is that nothing has gone up. The all-electric compact crossover carries over at $34,995 for the entry Premium FWD trim, the same figure Subaru charged when the Uncharted made its debut earlier in 2026. It remains the most affordable electric vehicle in the brand’s lineup, and it reaches US retailers this fall.

The 2027 range runs across three trims. Premium FWD opens the lineup at $34,995, the dual-motor Sport sits in the middle at $39,795, and the GT tops things out at $43,795. Destination and delivery adds $1,475 for most states, rising to $1,625 in Alaska and varying in a handful of northeastern markets. Every version ships with a 74.7-kWh battery, a 14-inch touchscreen, and Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist suite as standard.

A Familiar Price for the 2027 Model Year

Holding a price flat from one model year to the next has become rare in the EV market, where shifting battery costs and changing incentives push numbers in both directions. Subaru chose to keep the Uncharted steady, which leaves the front-wheel-drive Premium as a sub-$35,000 entry point into a compact electric SUV with more than 300 miles of range. That combination puts it in direct competition with the Chevrolet Equinox EV and the cheaper trims of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

The Uncharted shares its underpinnings and much of its hardware with the Toyota C-HR EV, the product of the long-running Subaru and Toyota partnership that also produced the Solterra. Subaru fits its own styling, tuning, and trim walk, then leans on the all-wheel-drive system that buyers expect from the brand. Assembly happens in Japan.

What $34,995 Buys in the Premium FWD

The entry Premium FWD uses a single 221-horsepower motor on the front axle and returns up to 308 miles of estimated range, the longest figure in the lineup. Subaru includes a fuller EyeSight package than many rivals put on their base cars: pre-collision braking, front cross traffic alert, blind spot monitors, lane departure alert, emergency stop assist, and adaptive cruise control all come standard.

Inside, the Premium FWD gets the 14-inch touchscreen, dual wireless phone chargers, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear USB-C ports, and a leather-wrapped wheel. Outside it rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with gloss black covers and adds power-folding mirrors and a body-color roof spoiler. An all-weather package covering heated seats, heated mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer is fitted across every trim, which suits Subaru’s core markets in colder states.

Sport and GT Add Power and Polish

Stepping up to the $39,795 Sport swaps the single motor for a dual-motor setup making a combined 338 horsepower, paired with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The extra motor trims the range to an estimated 273 miles, the trade most dual-motor EVs ask buyers to accept. The Sport also brings low-profile roof rails rated to carry 176 pounds on the move, a heated steering wheel, a power tailgate, and hard-wearing StarTex upholstery. A 360-degree surround-view camera, an eight-way power passenger seat, and available Traffic Jam Assist and Lane Change Assist round out the upgrades.

The $43,795 GT keeps the 338-horsepower dual-motor drivetrain and an estimated 287 miles of range, then layers on the comfort features. Buyers get a panoramic glass roof with a powered shade, ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, 20-inch alloys in a gunmetal finish, heated rear outboard seats, and a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink. Two-tone paint is reserved for the GT, across four of the five available colors.

Range, Charging and All-Wheel Drive

Every Uncharted uses the same 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and charges at up to 150 kW on a DC fast charger. Subaru quotes a 10 to 80 percent top-up in as little as 28 minutes when the battery has been preconditioned, a system that warms or cools the pack to its ideal charging temperature before you plug in. The car uses a North American Charging Standard port, which gives drivers direct access to more than 25,000 charging stations, including the Tesla Supercharger network, without an adapter.

Most trims carry Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE Dual Mode, which adds Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings, plus Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control. Ground clearance sits at 8.2 inches, taller than many car-based electric crossovers and a nod to the light off-pavement use Subaru buyers tend to expect.

Where the Uncharted Sits in Subaru’s EV Lineup

The Uncharted slots in below the larger Solterra, which holds at $38,495 for 2027 after its own round of updates. Subaru positions the newer car as the smaller, cheaper, and more city-friendly choice. It runs about seven inches shorter than the Solterra yet still clears more than 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, and its turning circle is close to that of the gas-powered Crosstrek, which makes tight parking lots and narrow streets easier to manage.

For shoppers cross-shopping the segment, the Uncharted’s pitch is a recognizable badge, standard all-wheel drive on most trims, a long real-world range on the front-drive model, and a price that has not crept upward. Subaru sells through roughly 640 US retailers, and the 2027 Uncharted lands on their lots this fall in Coastal Wolf Gray Metallic, Habanero Orange Metallic, Cosmic White Pearl, Astro Black Mica, and Metropolis Gray Metallic.
