  • The 2027 Mazda3 sedan starts at $24,750 in MSRP, and every trim adds $1,315 for destination and handling.
  • The Preferred hatchback with all-wheel drive lists at $29,990, the cheapest way into AWD on either body style.
  • The Turbo Premium Plus tops the range at $38,190 as a hatchback and $37,040 as a sedan, and a six-speed manual hatchback sits at $31,950.

Which 2027 Mazda3 Trim Earns Its Price Tag?

Mazda North American Operations has set prices for the 2027 Mazda3 in eight trim and drivetrain combinations across two body styles, and the ladder from the $24,750 starting figure runs $13,440 to the top. That number belongs to the 2.5 S sedan with front-wheel drive. Add the $1,315 destination and handling charge and the sedan costs $26,065 before taxes, title and fees. Alaska buyers pay $1,360 for destination, $45 more.

The Mazda3 2.5 S Preferred hatchback with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system lists at $29,990. That figure is under $30,000 only before destination. With the $1,315 charge, the price is $31,305, and a $595 premium paint takes it to $31,900. Dealers set the actual selling price, so the MSRP is a starting point for a negotiation, not a final quote.

The Price Ladder, Sedan First

The sedan lineup has five trims. The 2.5 S costs $24,750. The Select Sport follows at $25,740, a step of $990. The Preferred is $27,490, another $1,750. The Premium, which comes with all-wheel drive as standard, is $30,415, and the Turbo Premium Plus is $37,040. From the cheapest sedan to the Turbo, the spread is $12,290.

Every sedan before the Premium is front-wheel drive. That makes the Premium the first sedan with AWD, and it costs $425 more than the AWD hatchback. A buyer who wants AWD and does not need leather or a Bose stereo pays less for the hatchback.

The hatchback skips the base trim entirely. The Select Sport hatchback at $27,040 is the cheapest hatchback, which puts the body style $2,290 above the cheapest sedan. Trim for trim, the hatchback costs $1,300 more at Select Sport, $550 more at Preferred with front-wheel drive and $1,150 more at Turbo.

What Each Step Up Adds

The 2.5 S carries a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine rated by Mazda at 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque on 87 octane fuel, with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. Standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, cloth seats, push-button start and an eight-speaker audio system. The safety list is long: blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, high beam control, rear seat alert, Auto Hold, Smart Brake Support and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

The Select Sport adds 18-inch black metallic wheels, leatherette seats, a leather steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Alexa Built-In. The Preferred layers on a power sliding-glass moonroof, an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory, heated front seats and a Qi wireless phone charger. On the hatchback, Preferred is also where AWD becomes available.

The sedan Premium brings leather in black or red, a 12-speaker Bose system with HD radio and Traffic Sign Recognition on top of the standard AWD. Moving from the Preferred sedan to the Premium costs $2,925.

The hatchback Premium Plus is newly positioned in the lineup. It pairs the six-speed Skyactiv-MT manual transmission with front-wheel drive at $31,950 and adds a 10.25-inch center touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, an active driving display projected on the windshield and an adaptive front lighting system that swivels through curves. The Premium Plus with AWD is $33,350, which is $1,400 more than the manual and $3,360 more than the Preferred AWD hatchback.

What the Turbo Premium Plus Adds

The Turbo Premium Plus is all-wheel drive only, with paddle shifters. Mazda rates the turbocharged 2.5-liter at up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque on 93 octane fuel, or 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft on 87 octane. Against the 2.5 S, that is 64 more horsepower and 134 more lb-ft at the top rating. Running regular gas costs the Turbo 23 horsepower and 10 lb-ft. Those are the maker’s figures.

The sedan gets a black rear spoiler. The hatchback gets a more prominent front air dam, front air guides and a Turbo-specific black rear spoiler. Inside are Homelink, a SiriusXM radio connection with a three-month trial and a frameless auto-dimming mirror. Sedan buyers choose white or black leather, hatchback buyers black or red. A 360-degree view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, Smart Brake Support for the rear, Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Cruising and Traffic Support complete the safety list. With destination, the Turbo comes to $38,355 as a sedan and $39,505 as a hatchback.

What It Costs Out the Door, and Where It Sits

Mazda offers five premium paints at $595 each: Machine Gray Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Polymetal Gray Metallic, Ceramic Metallic and a red crystal metallic. Jet Black Mica, Premium Quartz Metallic and Deep Crystal Blue Mica round out the color list.

The nearest comparison sits in Mazda’s own showroom. The 2027 Mazda CX-5 starts at the same $29,990 with standard AWD, but carries a $1,595 destination charge. That makes it $31,585 before taxes against $31,305 for the Mazda3 AWD hatchback, a $280 gap.

Against the Corolla, the Mazda3 sedan starts higher. The 2027 Toyota Corolla LE lists at $23,325, and the Mazda3 2.5 S sedan at $24,750 costs $1,425 more, both before each maker’s destination charge.

Hatchback shoppers face a wider gap. The Corolla hatchback starts at $24,780, while the cheapest Mazda3 hatchback lists at $27,040, a difference of $2,260 before destination.

How 2027 Compares With 2026

Mazda’s 2026 Mazda3 price table put the Turbo Premium Plus at $36,940 as a sedan and $38,090 as a hatchback, so the 2027 prices are $100 higher on each. The 2.5 S sedan rises $100 from $24,650 to $24,750, and the Select Sport costs $200 more, at $25,740 as a sedan and $27,040 as a hatchback.

The Preferred hatchback with front-wheel drive moves the other way. It drops $600, from $28,640 to $28,040. All-wheel drive on the hatchback also gets cheaper to reach. The 2026 model offered it on the Carbon Edition at $30,965 when the lineup launched, and Mazda later cut that price to $30,765. The 2027 Preferred AWD hatchback at $29,990 sits $975 below the launch price and $775 below the reduced one.

Before visiting a dealer, ask for an out-the-door quote in writing that lists MSRP, the $1,315 destination charge, any paint surcharge, taxes, title and fees. Dealers set the sale price, and the number on the window sticker is where the conversation begins.
