MINI Cooper Heritage Edition Arrives in US This Fall Priced From $39,270
MINI USA has opened pre-orders for the Cooper Heritage Edition, a limited-run version of the Cooper S 2-Door built around Union Jack graphics and a white contrast roof. The car lands at US dealers starting in early fall, and buyers who want one need to act now: MINI treats these special editions like sneaker drops, and past runs have sold out fast.
Total price for a fully-equipped Cooper Heritage Edition comes to $39,270 before a $1,350 destination and handling charge, putting the out-the-door figure close to $40,620. That sits on top of a $32,800 base MSRP for the standard 2027 MINI Cooper S 2 Door, so buyers pay roughly $6,470 for the Heritage content and required option packages. Two paint choices are available: Chili Red II and Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic, both paired with a white roof and white mirror caps.
MINI builds the Cooper S 2-Door in Oxford, England, the same plant where the original Mini rolled off the line in 1959. The Heritage Edition marks 25 years of the modern MINI in America, and the badge on the door sills reminds owners of that anniversary every time they climb in.

What the Union Jack Theme Actually Gets You
The white contrast roof carries a large Union Jack graphic, with a red and white stripe running the length of the car to tie the design together. MINI fits 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone wheels as standard on this edition, along with edition-specific center caps and valve stem caps. Inside, the steering wheel has a textured printed flag at the 6 o’clock position, the driver’s floor mat carries a circular Union Jack, and the passenger mat gets a checkered flag nod to MINI’s racing history. Door sills, a key fob cap and a center console storage box cap round out the package.
None of this changes the car mechanically. The Cooper Heritage Edition rides on the same platform as any other Cooper S 2-Door, with the same engine and running gear. Buyers are paying for graphics, wheels and interior trim, not extra horsepower.
How the Pricing Breaks Down
MINI’s build sheet for the Heritage Edition starts with the $32,800 base car, then requires the Iconic Trim with Comfort Package Plus at $4,100 and 18-inch Slide Spoke wheels with summer tires at $750. Paint choice, the white roof and mirror caps, the Vescin/cloth upholstery combination and the Anthracite headliner all come included at no extra charge once those packages are selected. The Heritage-specific content, including the decals, badges, floor mats and interior inserts, adds $1,620 on top.
Add those figures together and the net total lands at $39,270. MINI then applies the standard $1,350 destination and handling fee separately, so shoppers comparing this to a base Cooper S sticker should budget for roughly $6,470 more than the $32,800 starting price, plus destination.

Part of a Bigger Anniversary Push
The Cooper Heritage Edition is the fourth of eight special editions MINI plans to release in the US through the end of the year, following the MINI 60 Years Edition, the MINI 1965 Victory Edition and the MINI Red Line Edition. MINI has also run a Paul Smith collaboration this year. The brand markets these drops individually rather than as a single anniversary package, which means shoppers who want a specific edition need to watch MINI USA’s release schedule rather than expecting the car to sit on dealer lots for long.
Buyers in Canada and other markets should note a naming quirk: outside North America, this same car is sold as the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition. It is a different vehicle from the long-running MINI Oxford Edition already sold in the US and Canada. The names are similar, so shoppers cross-referencing international MINI forums or spec sheets should confirm they are looking at the right car before ordering.
Should You Order One
At just under $40,000 out the door, the Cooper Heritage Edition costs more than a comparably equipped standard Cooper S without adding any performance. That math only makes sense for buyers who specifically want the anniversary badge and Union Jack styling, or who plan to hold onto a low-production special edition. MINI has not published a production cap for this run, but earlier 2026 special editions from the brand have sold through their allocations within weeks of going on sale.
Shoppers who just want the mechanical package without the graphics package have options. A standard 2027 Cooper S 2-Door starts at the same $32,800 base MSRP, and dealers can spec similar wheel and comfort packages a la carte for less than the $1,620 MINI charges for the Heritage-specific decals and trim. The tradeoff is exclusivity: once this batch is gone, MINI has given no indication the Union Jack roof graphic and matching interior details will return in this exact combination.
Consumer product information is available now through MINI USA, and interested buyers can place a pre-order ahead of the fall arrival date. Anyone cross-shopping against a standard Cooper S 2-Door should weigh whether the Heritage content justifies the roughly $6,470 premium over the base car. The underlying mechanical package is identical either way.
