Automobili Lamborghini unveils a new Temerario Polizia for the Italian State Police

Automobili Lamborghini presents the new Temerario destined for the Italian State Police, at its Sant’ Agata Bolognese headquarters in the presence of the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, welcomed by Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann and by the company’s Board of Directors.

The ceremony was also attended by Prefect Renato Cortese, Central Director of the traffic, railway and special units police of the Italian State Police, representing the Chief of Police and Director General of Public Security Prefect Vittorio Pisani.

The super sports car will be used for the most important services to including the emergency transport of organs and medical supplies, joining the Lamborghini cars already in service with the Italian State Police.

With the new model, Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police renew a collaboration that began in 2004. The journey began with the first Gallardo, which as early as September of that same year carried out its first organ transport. The relationship continued with the Gallardo LP 560-4 and the Huracán, deployed over the years along the country’s main motorway arteries, and joined by the Urus Performante, in service since 2023.

In total, six vehicles have entered the fleet of the Italian State Police over more than twenty years, playing a part in over two hundred organ transport missions across Italy. In several cases the Lamborghini police cars have helped save human lives as well as participating in more than 1,500 road safety education events promoting safe driving.

With the Temerario, the bond between the House of Sant’Agata Bolognese and the police enters a new phase, confirming a vision in which technological excellence is placed at the service of the community. The car is powered by an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, for a total output of 920 CV, and represents a new milestone in the technological history of Lamborghini. The Temerario delivers a combination of performance and efficiency which, in the hands of the police, translates into a tool capable of accomplishing the most delicate missions in the shortest possible time.

During the event, the book “I motori della Polizia” was also presented. Produced by the Institutional Communications Office of the Italian State Police and published by Giunti Editore and Giorgio Nada Editore, the volume traces the history of the vehicles that have supported the Institution’s activities over the decades. Through cars, motorcycles and special vehicles, it also recounts a significant part of the history of the Italian State Police and of the country itself.

The new Temerario Polizia marks a collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police that pairs technological excellence with social value, placing the brand’s performance and innovation at the service of the institution and its daily commitment to protecting citizens.
