Spy photos of the electric 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster – UPDATE
Spy photos show the next-generation 718 Boxster will be battery powered, with all-wheel drive also reportedly in the works.
UPDATE, 8 August 2023: The electric 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster has been spotted again, this time as a prototype vehicle was recharging while out on road tests.
German charging company Next Move posted images of the electric Boxster on its social media accounts, revealing the convertible’s charging point to be at the top and centre of the car’s rear.
Since spy photos were taken of an early electric Boxster prototype in late 2022, Porsche has added perspex over the tail-lights, while retaining the fake centre exhaust in an effort to disguise its electric propulsion.
According to Next Move, the car’s charging rate indicated the Boxster has an 800-volt system – just like the electric Porsche Taycan.
