The Audi A6 and A7, along with their sportier S6 and S7 counterparts, are receiving a minor facelift for 2024.

They’re available to order in Europe from June 1. We’ve contacted Audi Australia to confirm local timing for the updates.

Changes are largely restricted to new colours, wheel designs and minor tweaks to their front and rear ends.

A7 and A6 TFSI e S line

All models bar the A6 allroad get a new honeycomb grille insert, with A6 and A7 models equipped with the S line package – standard in Australia – receiving new chrome inserts.

There’s a redesigned rear diffuser on the A6 and A7, with the blade finished in either Platinum Grey (A6) or chrome (A7).

A6 S line models also get redesigned side front air intakes with Matte Black and Platinum Grey trim, as well as widened side sills.

S6

The S6 and S7 get a Selenite Silver front spoiler, a revised grille with aluminium-style inlays, as well as “accentuated” front side air intakes finished in matte black (S6) or matte dark chrome (S7).

There are new alloy wheel designs across the A6/S6 line-up, ranging from 17 to 21 inches. A7/S7 models get new 19-, 20- and 21-inch alloy wheel designs.

Twelve exterior colours are available across the A6/S6 and A7/S7 line-ups, including new Arcona White and Madeira Brown Metallic finishes. Grenadine Red Metallic and Ascari Blue Metallic are now available on S line and S models.

S7

Inside, there are now eight decorative inlays available, including a pair of new wood trims as well as inlays finished in Dinamica microfibre.

S line A6 and A7 models get a revised interior package. The interior, dashboard and headliner are finished in black, with black trim found on the steering wheel, stainless steel used for the pedals and aluminium used for the sill trims and featuring illumination.

A6 S line models get combination Sequenz fabric and leather upholstery, while A7 S line models get Frequenz Dinamica microfibre and leather.

A7

All models now come standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster (already standard here), plus Audi’s park assist plus semi-autonomous parking system.

Audi has made no mention of any mechanical changes across the updated model line-ups.

Last year, Audi sold 296 A6s (including the S6 and RS6) in Australia. That figure was up 17.9 per cent on the previous year, but paled against the BMW 5 Series (457 sales) and Mercedes-Benz E-Class (347 sales).

Audi also sold 94 of the A7 family, outselling the rival Mercedes-Benz CLS (55 sales).
