The Vision V – a highly elegant chauffeur-driven limousine with a special focus on the “Private Lounge” and the utmost comfort –is Mercedes-Benz’ vision of combining generous space with maximum exclusivity. Traditionally crafted materials blended with hyper-modern, tech-savvy design elements that are just as stylish as they are unexpected, providing an unprecedented immersive digital experience. Vision V provides a fascinating outlook on the future Grand Limousine Mercedes-Benz VLS.

Following its world premiere in Shanghai in April, the Vision V embarked on its global Grand Tour, starting in Dubai before making its debut in the U.S.: After a stop-over in Los Angeles, it will be showcased at the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge at Pebble Beach, CA on August 14-17, 2025.

New highlights for the next level of personalized immersive user experience

Pebble Beach Automotive Week is the ideal setting for the world’s finest automobiles, where enthusiasts and collectors gather to celebrate automotive excellence and innovation making it perfectly suited for the Vision V to showcase its immersive user experience:

Karaoke, one of Vision V’s seven interactive “worlds” recently received a major update. After its huge success in China with a localized Chinese track, an English-language song is now available for Vision V’s U.S. stops. Additionally, the cinematic experience has been taken to the next level, with Dolby Vision delivering an even more immersive and visually stunning ride.

Unique 360-degree cocooning effect in the “Private Lounge”

Both new features are perfectly integrated in the Vision V’s “Private Lounge” with its retractable, 65-inch cinema screen located under the floor. As soon as the passengers are inside and the doors are closed, it glides up as if by magic from a console designed with burr wood and Nappa leather. Through the transparent slats in the floor, passengers can watch as the display extends and separates the “Private Lounge” area from the cockpit. The cinema screen comes to life and transforms the interior into an immersive world of experience – an individual retreat that can be used as a movie or gaming hub, a concert hall, an office or an oasis of relaxation.

With its 4K resolution, the cinema screen displays video and games with exceptional clarity and detail. With the stunning HDR imaging technology Dolby Vision, all the entertainment has richer colors and sharper contrast. 42 loudspeakers, including exciters in the seats, turn music into a haptic experience. Seven projectors in the headliner and floor expand the field of vision in addition to the side windows becoming additional “screens” and creating a digital 360-degree experience. This unique cocooning effect is further enhanced by the integration of ambient lighting when listening to music, where lighting adapts its colors to the rhythm of the music. The 65-inch cinema screen is operated via the touchpad in the center console and can be extended and retracted from the floor.

Grand Limousines

The future models of privately positioned MPVs – also known as Grand Limousines – will be named as Mercedes Benz VLE and Mercedes Benz VLS. While the VLE with up to 8 seats will range from flexible vehicles for families and leisure active customers to exclusive VIP shuttles, the VLS will define a unique segment of its own that bestows true greatness to automotive luxury. Starting in 2026, the VLE will be the first model based on the newly developed, modular, and scalable van architecture – ushering in a completely new era. This architecture allows for a clear differentiation between privately positioned Grand Limousines and commercial transporters. The VLS will expand the Mercedes Benz MPV portfolio into the top-end-segment.
