Polestar returns to the iconic ‘corsa italiana’, the Mille Miglia Green, to defend last year’s title* with its complete model line-up. In celebration of this legendary journey through the heart of Italy (17–21 June), Polestar introduces the ‘Collezione Mille’ — a tribute to heritage, design, and endurance.

Polestar is placing three cars on the starting line of this year’s Mille Miglia Green – all long-range versions of the Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. These cars have motorsport and competition in their genes, combined with large batteries to enable range of over 600 kilometres** between charges. The cars are fitted with original equipment Michelin E Primacy and Pilot Sport EV tyres that are optimised for electric vehicles, and which have been co-developed by the Polestar chassis team – for optimal handling characteristics and range optimisation.

Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO says: “Polestar cars offer great performance, not only with fast acceleration, but also with outstanding range. We are winning many comparison tests already but to bring our lineup to the historical Mille Miglia Green race in Italy is an ultimate endurance test that brings classic car culture to the future.”

The unique ‘Collezione Mille’ racing liveries are inspired by the history of the Mille Miglia and pay a modern homage to rich Italian racing heritage. ‘Collezione Mille’ evolves the look and feel of the livery design presented with Polestar’s ‘Arctic Circle’ collection, which debuted at the FAT Ice Race in Austria earlier this year.

The two-tone paint scheme, with the ‘dipped’ front end, is traditionally how racing teams would differentiate drivers during the race. For Polestar, it becomes an extension of the yellow split colour scheme from the ‘Arctic Circle’ collection. The white circle, normally reserved for racing numbers becomes a design feature of the livery itself, appearing understated pre-race and then featuring the official entry numbers once Mille Miglia Green begins. Large 2,3 and 4 decals expressed in the colours of the Italian flag, celebrate the country where the Mille Miglia Green is hosted.

*In 2024, the Polestar 2 Long range Single motor became the first Swedish car to win the Mille Miglia Green, with all-Italian racing crew comprising Mirco Magni and Alessandro Ferruta. Read more at https://www.polestar.com/global/news/polestar-2-wins-1000-miglia-green/
