Alfa Romeo Marks Production of 100,000th Tonale

The 100,000th Alfa Romeo Tonale rolled off the production line this week amid a gathering of employees at the Stellantis Gianbattista Vico plant in Pomigliano d’Arco (Naples, Italy). The vehicle was a Sprint model in Rosso Alfa, intended for the Italian market.

The production milestone celebrates the global success of the Tonale, which was launched in 2022. The Tonale features a distinctly iconic Alfa Romeo design that combines balanced proportions, attention to detail and cutting-edge technologies with a range of advanced internal combustion, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, designed to ensure efficiency without sacrificing the brand’s typical performance.

The Tonale is produced on a dedicated, highly automated assembly line, which ensures the highest level of quality. Since its launch, the model has been enthusiastically received by customers around the world and has won numerous awards.

For 2025, Alfa Romeo Tonale now offers a technologically advanced 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine rated at 268 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque and paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard Q4 all-wheel drive. The new 2.0-liter turbocharged Tonale joins the Tonale eAWD plug-in hybrid in the lineup. Equipped with a twin-scroll, low-inertia turbocharger, direct fuel injection and engine stop-start technology, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine infuses Tonale with the brand’s iconic dynamic performance and drivability. Tonale features a variety of advanced driver assistance systems, Uconnect 5, a connectivity platform with Alfa Connect, modern Italian styling and exhilarating driving dynamics from a rapid-response dual-mode active suspension system.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale Intensa special series, also new for 2025, adds specifically designed 20-inch alloy wheels featuring bright gold details and Dark Miron finishes. Exclusive and refined interiors offer black Alcantara seats with leather-colored stitching, Alcantara-upholstered dashboard and two-tone leather steering wheel. Drivers will equally be enthralled with a dual-mode active suspension system, Level 2 driver assist system and exclusive 470-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers and subwoofer.
