Aston Martin and Brough Superior Reveal AMB 002 Roadster, Limited to 300 Bikes

A Track-Only Partnership Finally Builds a Motorcycle for the Road

Aston Martin and Brough Superior have revealed the AMB 002 Roadster, the first road-legal machine to come from a partnership that has, until now, only produced track-only superbikes. The AMB 001 arrived in 2019 and the AMB 001 Pro followed in 2022, both built for circuit use alone. The AMB 002 is the pair’s first motorcycle a customer can register and ride on public roads.

The Engine and Chassis Underneath

Brough Superior designed, machined and assembled the AMB 002 from scratch at its headquarters in Toulouse, France, with no carried-over parts from the track-only bikes. At its centre sits a new 1083cc water-cooled V-twin producing 130bhp and 110Nm of torque, tuned for strong low and mid-range pull rather than an outright top-end number.

The engine sits in a titanium chassis milled from a single billet, a structural spine that comes in at just 5kg. Combined with carbon fibre body panels and fuel tank, the AMB 002 has a low centre of gravity and an even front-to-rear balance, and the finished motorcycle comes in at 190kg. The front end uses Brough Superior’s double-wishbone “Fior fork,” a design carried over from the AMB 001 Pro that separates steering and braking forces rather than routing both through a conventional telescopic fork.

Design Details Borrowed From Aston Martin’s Cars

The bodywork carries several details lifted directly from Aston Martin’s road car range. The side-strake, a signature Aston Martin styling cue, pierces through the side fairing and wraps forward around the headlamp. The twin oval exhausts use ribbed heat sinks that echo the exhaust design on the Vanquish, DB12 S and DBX S, and the rear light blades match those on the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla hypercars. A backlit ignition button, keyless function and leather seat pads finished by hand round out the cabin-like touches on a machine with no cabin at all.

How Much It Costs and When It Arrives

Aston Martin and Brough Superior have not published a price for the AMB 002 Roadster, in keeping with a machine sold to a small list of collectors rather than through a public price list. Orders are open now, and buyers who secure one of the 300 build slots can expect delivery from the third quarter of 2027. Each motorcycle is hand-built individually rather than produced on a line, which explains the roughly year-long gap between placing an order and taking delivery.

Where the AMB 002 Fits in Aston Martin and Brough Superior’s Story

Stefano Saporetti, Aston Martin’s Director of Brand Diversification, called the AMB 002 proof that “the appetite for Aston Martin’s design language extends far beyond four wheels when paired with Brough Superior’s unparalleled engineering.” The Nottingham-founded Brough Superior name dates back to 1919, when T.E. Lawrence, known as Lawrence of Arabia, owned seven of the marque’s motorcycles. Thierry Henriette revived the brand in 2013, and its partnership with Aston Martin has now moved from two track-only superbikes to a limited run of 300 road-legal machines aimed at riders who already own, or want to own, an Aston Martin on four wheels.

Car makers pairing up with motorcycle builders for small-run collector bikes is not new. Bentley has worked with Ducati on limited editions, and Lamborghini has done the same with Italian manufacturers, but those projects have tended to dress up an existing production motorcycle in branded colours and badges. The AMB 002 is different: a ground-up engineering project with its own engine, chassis and suspension design, built by the same small team responsible for the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro track bikes. That makes the 300-unit cap less a marketing device and more a reflection of how many machines Brough Superior can actually hand-build in Toulouse before deliveries begin in 2027…
