Toyota has priced the 2027 bZ Woodland from $45,380, keeping its rugged, all-wheel-drive electric SUV in showrooms for a second model year with the same core specs as before. The trim sits above the standard bZ in Toyota’s electric lineup and pairs off-road hardware with a 281-mile range rating, giving buyers who want ground clearance and towing capacity an electric option that doesn’t ask them to give up daily usability.

Pricing and What You Get

The starting MSRP of $45,380 applies to the core AWD grade and excludes the dealer processing and handling fee that Toyota adds at purchase. A Premium AWD grade sits above it, adding a nine-speaker JBL audio system, ventilated front seats, a driver’s seat memory function, auto-tilt mirrors with memory, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink, and a panoramic glass roof with a power sunshade.

Both grades come standard with all-wheel drive built around front and rear electric motors, along with X-MODE, a traction system that adjusts brake control and power delivery at each wheel on loose or slippery surfaces. A companion feature called Grip Control steps in at low speeds, modulating motor output to help the vehicle hold a steady pace over uneven terrain rather than leaving that work entirely to the driver.

Power, Range and Charging

The bZ Woodland produces 375 total system horsepower and reaches 60 mph in a manufacturer-estimated 4.5 seconds, figures that put it ahead of most electric SUVs in this price bracket. A 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, mounted flat under the floor, delivers a manufacturer-estimated 281 miles of range on the standard all-season tires. Buyers who choose the optional all-terrain tires give up some efficiency for added grip off-road, dropping the estimate to 260 miles.

Toyota fits a North American Charging System (NACS) port to the bZ Woodland, the same connector Tesla uses, which opens up a wide network of DC fast chargers without an adapter. Under ideal conditions, the SUV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 30 minutes. An 11-kW onboard charger handles home charging, and Toyota includes a dual-voltage 120/240V cable along with J1772 and CCS1 adapters for owners who need to use older charging equipment.

Cargo Space and Off-Road Hardware

Compared with the standard bZ, the Woodland trim adds nearly 6 inches of cargo length and close to an inch of additional rear cargo height, bringing total cargo volume to 74.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat. Ground clearance rises to 8.4 inches, and the SUV can tow up to 3,500 pounds, numbers that matter for owners hauling gear or a small trailer rather than sticking to pavement. Matte black overfenders and standard 18-inch wheels with black aero covers set the Woodland apart visually from the regular bZ lineup.

Interior and Technology

Inside, both grades get SofTex-trimmed seating, roof rails, a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front and outboard rear seats, a heated steering wheel, dual Qi-capable wireless phone chargers, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Toyota also includes a five-year trial of its Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Remote Connect services, along with a 30-day, 3GB trial of Wi-Fi Connect. The Toyota app lets owners check charging status, start or stop a charge remotely, and locate nearby stations once those trials are active.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard on every bZ Woodland, bundling a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and a 360-degree camera system with a multi-terrain view round out the safety package on both grades.

Colors and Segment Context

The 2027 bZ Woodland comes in six exterior colors: Raven, Stepping Stone, Pavement, Steel, Trueno Blue, and an extra-cost shade called Halo. Inside, Toyota offers a choice of Stone Brown or Black SofTex trim across both grades. The Woodland’s matte black overfenders and 18-inch wheels with black covers stay the same regardless of exterior color, giving every version the same off-road look.

The closest relative to the bZ Woodland isn’t a rival at all. Subaru’s Trailseeker, developed through Subaru and Toyota’s electric vehicle partnership, shares the same 74.7-kWh battery, the same 375-horsepower output, and the same 281-mile range rating. Toyota’s version undercuts nothing on capability but starts around $5,000 higher than the Trailseeker’s base price, a gap buyers cross-shopping the two vehicles will want to weigh against dealership availability and trim-specific features.

Warranty and Ownership Costs

Toyota backs the bZ Woodland with its standard 36-month, 36,000-mile basic warranty, a 60-month, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and unlimited-mileage corrosion coverage for five years. The battery and electric drive components carry an 8-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Toyota also throws in ToyotaCare, which covers scheduled maintenance for one year or 10,000 miles, and three years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage.

Toyota says the bZ Woodland will reach dealerships nationwide later this year, with pricing and specifications otherwise unchanged from the 2026 model. Buyers choosing between the AWD and Premium AWD grades will weigh the extra audio and comfort features against a fixed price jump, while the choice between all-season and all-terrain tires trades 21 miles of range for better grip away from paved roads.
