2027 Subaru Crosstrek Pricing Holds at $26,995 With No Increase From Last Year
Subaru of America has locked in 2027 Crosstrek pricing at the same $26,995 MSRP drivers paid for the outgoing model year, with the compact SUV lineup reaching dealers nationwide this fall. Six trim levels span the range, from the base gas-only Crosstrek to a hybrid variant rated at 598 miles of EPA-estimated range on a single tank.
The flat pricing lands as competitors in the compact crossover segment push sticker prices higher for 2027. Subaru’s move keeps the Crosstrek positioned as one of the more affordable all-wheel-drive SUVs sold in the US, a factor the brand has leaned on to build the model into one of its best sellers. Rivals such as the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross still charge extra for all-wheel drive on their base trims, while every Crosstrek ships with it as standard equipment.
Six Trim Levels, One Starting Price
Every 2027 Crosstrek comes with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard equipment, along with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and the X-MODE Dual-Mode System with Hill Descent Control. The base engine is an uprated 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer unit producing 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired to a Lineartronic CVT.
Standard safety tech runs deep for a vehicle starting under $27,000. EyeSight Driver Assist Technology comes on every trim, adding pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane centering. Models with blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert also get automatic emergency steering, which helps prevent forward crashes at speeds under 50 mph.
Inside the base Crosstrek, drivers get a dual 7.0-inch infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera, and gray cloth upholstery. Cargo space runs to 19.9 cubic feet with the rear seats up and passes 50 cubic feet with them folded down. A spare tire and tool kit sit under the cargo floor, an increasingly rare inclusion as automakers swap spares for inflator kits to save cost and cut curb mass.
Hybrid Models Add Range and Power
Two trims swap the gas-only engine for Subaru’s series-parallel hybrid powertrain: the Crosstrek Sport Hybrid at $33,995 and the Crosstrek Limited Hybrid at $35,995. Both pair the 2.5-liter Boxer engine with electric motors for a combined 194 horsepower, and both carry an EPA-estimated range of 598 miles on a full tank, a figure that puts long highway trips well within reach without a fuel stop.
The Sport Hybrid trim adds an 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system with built-in GPS mapping, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and hybrid-exclusive 18-inch wheels. Yellow-stitched Sport Cloth seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and a wireless smartphone charger round out the cabin. The pricier Limited Hybrid pairs the same tech with perforated StarTex upholstery, a Harman Kardon 10-speaker sound system, and a power moonroof that now comes standard for 2027.
Last year’s gas-only Sport trim has been dropped from the lineup entirely, leaving the Sport badge exclusive to the hybrid model. Subaru builds the hybrid Crosstrek at its Gunma, Japan plant, a separate line from the gas-only versions assembled in Indiana.
What the Premium, Limited and Wilderness Trims Add
Stepping up to the $27,995 Premium trim brings an 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system, six speakers, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, LED fog lights, and roof rails. A $2,245 option package adds blind-spot detection, an All-Weather Package with heated front seats, automatic emergency steering, a power driver’s seat, and a power moonroof.
The $32,995 Limited trim adds Emergency Lane Keep Assist, reverse automatic braking, and the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System on top of leather-appointed seats with orange contrast stitching and an 18-inch wheel design. A $1,795 package brings a Harman Kardon speaker system and power moonroof.
For buyers who want to leave the pavement, the $33,795 Wilderness trim raises ground clearance to 9.3 inches, fits all-terrain Yokohama Geolandar tires on 17-inch matte black wheels, and lifts towing capacity to 3,500 pounds with an uprated transmission oil cooler. Copper-finish exterior accents and StarTex upholstery with a Wilderness-logo headrest badge mark it out inside and out. An option package for $2,270 adds the Harman Kardon speaker system, power driver’s seat, and power moonroof to the Wilderness trim as well.
New Colors and When It Arrives
Two paint colors are new for 2027: Ignition Red replaces Pure Red and Lithium Red Pearl on the Limited Hybrid, and Tidepool Teal Pearl swaps in for Alpine Green as a premium option across the range. Premium paint adds $395 to the sticker price on top of any trim’s base MSRP.
Destination and delivery charges add $1,475 in most states, rising to $1,625 in Alaska and running slightly higher in Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. None of the six trims include tax, title, or registration fees in their listed MSRP, so buyers should budget beyond the sticker figure before signing paperwork.
Dealers expect the 2027 Crosstrek to start arriving on lots later this fall, with pricing that undercuts many rivals in the compact SUV class even before adding in the standard all-wheel drive most competitors charge extra for. For shoppers cross-shopping the segment, the Crosstrek’s flat pricing gives it a rare edge at a time when most automakers are raising sticker prices year over year.
