2027 Kia Seltos Prices Start at $24,990 With Three Powertrain Choices

Kia has priced the all-new 2027 Seltos from $24,990, giving the small SUV a wider spread of powertrains and screen technology than the model it replaces. The lineup opens with a 2.0-liter engine in LX trim and climbs to $32,790 for the turbocharged 1.6-liter X-Line SX, with a hybrid variant still to come later this year. For a segment where buyers cross-shop half a dozen small SUVs on price alone, Kia has given the Seltos a genuine spread of choices rather than a single trim level dressed up in different colors.

Pricing and Powertrain Choices

The 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine is available across LX, S, X-Line S and EX trims, starting at $24,990 for the LX and rising to $30,090 for the EX. The turbocharged 1.6-liter engine is reserved for the X-Line SX trim alone, priced from $32,790. Both the 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter Seltos models are on sale now.

A hybrid powertrain arrives later this year, and Kia says it will introduce the brand’s first electric all-wheel-drive system on a hybrid SUV. Full pricing and specifications for that version have not been released yet, with Kia promising more detail closer to its on-sale date.

Styling Borrowed From the Telluride

The 2027 Seltos takes visual cues from Kia’s flagship Telluride SUV, a deliberate move to connect the smaller model to its larger, better-known sibling. Amber daytime running lights line the front fascia, and flush door handles combine with bolder body lines to give the Seltos a more substantial look than the outgoing generation.

The redesign has also freed up interior space. Kia says the new Seltos offers class-leading passenger room and class-leading maximum cargo space behind the first row, figures the brand backs with comparisons against other entry-level SUVs on sale in the same period. An upright, boxy profile pairs with an available Multi-terrain AWD mode and up to 8.1 inches of ground clearance, giving the Seltos more presence off paved roads than its footprint suggests.

Screens, Streaming and Voice Control

Every 2027 Seltos comes with a standard 12.3-inch digital touchscreen display. Buyers can add a second 12.3-inch instrument display alongside a 5-inch climate panel, creating a triple-screen dashboard that Kia calls its Connected Car Navigation Cockpit. That setup supports over-the-air software updates, meaning some features can be added after a customer has already taken delivery.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on every trim, removing a common complaint about lower-priced SUVs that reserve wireless connectivity for range-topping versions. An available Kia AI assistant responds to natural speech after being woken with “Hey, Kia,” and Kia Connect lets owners lock, unlock, cool, heat and remote-start the vehicle from a compatible smartphone.

Available Entertainment and Data Services bring streaming support for Disney+, Netflix and YouTube on certain trims, along with display themes built around some of Disney’s most recognized characters.

Driver-Assistance Features Standard on Every Trim

The 2027 Seltos comes standard with Lane Following Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning with Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, High-Beam Assist, Intelligent Speed-Limit Warning and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection. None of those features require an upgrade to a higher trim.

Buyers who want more can add Intelligent Speed-Limit Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Avoidance and Safe Exit Warning, which alerts occupants if another vehicle approaches while they are exiting the car.

Interior and Everyday Practicality

Kia has stretched the Seltos on both width and length compared with the outgoing model, and most of that growth shows up inside the cabin rather than in the exterior proportions. The higher ground clearance and boxier roofline give rear passengers more usable headroom than the sloped-roof crossovers that dominate the small SUV segment, a trade-off aimed squarely at families who load car seats, strollers or sports gear on a regular basis. The dual-screen dashboard sits in a single housing rather than two separate units bolted together, a detail that affects how the cabin looks and feels rather than how it functions, but one buyers notice the moment they open the door.

2027 Kia Seltos

Cloth and synthetic leather upholstery options carry over from the outgoing generation’s approach of offering premium-feeling materials without pushing the price into compact SUV territory, and Kia has kept physical climate controls alongside the touchscreen rather than burying every function in a menu.

How the Seltos Stacks Up Against Rivals

The small SUV segment in the United States is crowded, with buyers typically cross-shopping the Seltos against the Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Hyundai Kona and Volkswagen Taos. Where the Seltos separates itself is in offering three distinct powertrains within a single generation rather than one engine with an optional all-wheel-drive box, and in bringing streaming services and an AI voice assistant to a price bracket that has historically skipped those features in favor of basic infotainment.

With the 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter models already reaching dealerships, the 2027 Seltos gives Kia a small SUV that competes on price at the bottom of the range and on technology at the top, with the hybrid version still to be confirmed before the end of the year.
