More than 175,000 Mazda 3 and CX-3s recalled due to rear-view camera fault

A boot wiring defect has led to the recall of more than 175,000 Mazda 3 small cars and CX-3 city SUVs in Australia, affecting examples sold locally between 2013 and 2020.

Mazda Australia has recalled 176,048 examples of its Mazda 3 hatchback/sedan and CX-3 SUV due to a manufacturing defect which could cause the vehicle’s rear-view camera to stop working.

The recall affects the previous-shape Mazda 3 – both pre-facelift BM (2013-2016) and updated BN (2016-2019) models – as well as examples of the CX-3 which were sold in Australia by Mazda between 2015 and 2020.
