One-of-a-kind MC20 Maserati per Maserati

In September, at the Trident’s historic headquarters on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena, Maserati delivered a one-of-a-kind model made exclusively for two very special customers: the MC20 Maserati per Maserati, commissioned by the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati, founder of the Italian brand in 1914 together with his brothers Alfieri and Ernesto.

Alberto and Ettore Maserati are also brothers, who inherited from their grandfather a passion for engines and for dreams come true. MC20 Maserati per Maserati resulted from Ettore’s grandchildren’s wish to leave their children in turn a tangible memory of the brand that is now a symbol of luxury and sportiness around the world, which has stood out in the automotive and motorsport industry for 110 years.

The extraordinary car is a 100% made in Modena creation, the ideal interpreter of everything that has made the Maserati brand’s greatness and renown beyond the borders of Motor Valley: MC20, the Trident’s halo car par excellence, an appealing coupé equipped with the 621-hp V6 Nettuno engine.
This tailor-made version is enhanced by distinctive details and luxury finishes, and is made even more extraordinary by a refined and dedicated customisation, the result of the Fuoriserie personalisation programme that reflects the desire to pay homage to Maserati’s history and to give this jewel of a car a unique character.

The MC20 Maserati per Maserati bespoke super sports car has an inestimable sentimental and symbolic value, as the guardian of the DNA and history of an entire family, rich in values that endure over time through the best possible spokesperson for the Trident: a new icon by Maserati

MC20 Maserati per Maserati is a Maserati in its deepest sense: the Blu Infinito livery is one of the most characteristic colours of the Trident’s production, enhanced by the double stripe in Bianco Pastello that makes the car even sportier. The harmonious contrast between the bright paintwork and the racing-style finishes is sealed by the Trident in Grey Pastel on the tonneau, ‘enclosing’ the roaring Nettuno engine.
The exterior features the carbon fibre package – also seen in the interior – and bespoke specifications such as the customised “Maserati per Maserati” and “Maserati Fuoriserie” logos on the rear fender in Bianco Pastello, and the “MC20 Maserati per Maserati” side badges customised with black lettering on a body-colour background. Finally, the brake callipers in Rosso and the 20” wheels in Glossy Black give even more character to a car made to amaze.

The customisations continue in the interior, where Alcantara predominates – together with carbon fibre on the MC20 steering wheel in Nero/Nero – whereas the finishes in Nero/Blu New embellish the cabin. The six-way sports seats offer the opportunity for full immersion in a sporty and simultaneously luxurious environment; the dashboard and door panels contrast each other in Nero/Nero-Blu Backing, with the seats to the side of the centre in Nero-Blu Backing/Blu New. Macrotwill carbon-fibre accents complete a refined and captivating customisation, in the best Maserati style.

The delivery was witnessed by Ettore Maserati’s grandchildren and the founder’s three great-grandchildren, as well as the wife of Carlo Maserati (Ettore’s son), who passed away in 2018. Luca Delfino, Maserati Global Chief Commercial Officer, did the honours accompanied by Andrea BertoliniMaserati Chief Test Driver, and Ermanno Cozza, a historic figure for Maserati: after passing through the gates of Viale Ciro Menotti in 1951 as an apprentice engine repairer aged only 18, Cozza worked for the Trident for 60 years.

The small-scale event felt like a true family reunion, and the attendees also included three honourable predecessors. The newcomer was unveiled by the people who had produced the MC20 Maserati per Maserati themselves; alongside them, a Maserati A6, 6C34 and 6CM, just like in a souvenir photo between brothers and sisters.

MC20 Maserati per Maserati is the ideal ambassador of a never-ending story, rather one enriched by a new creation that combines the brand’s tradition and future, as a specific example of style, elegance, quality, craftsmanship, beauty and all-Italian excellence, a collector’s item to bequeath to your children and generations to come.
