2024 Audi A6 and A7 facelift unveiled

Minor facelifts for the 2024 Audi A6 and A7 large luxury cars have been revealed, ahead of European launches due later this year, and Australian arrivals likely to follow.

The A6 and A7 updates for Europe and the US come more than a year after photos were published in China, and bring new exterior styling, revised options, and more standard equipment overseas.

Australian arrival timing is yet to be confirmed by Audi. Order books in Europe are due to open this week (1 June 2023).

The changes are subtle, with a new front grille pattern on all models, tweaked LED headlight signatures, restyled lower front and rear bumpers on the A6, and a range of new wheel designs and colours.

Models with the S Line package – as is standard fitment on regular A6s and A7s in Australia – feature chrome front grille inserts, grey (A6) or chrome (A7) rear diffuser blades, black and grey front air vents.

The S6 and S7 add a different grille pattern with “aluminium-style inlays”, plus a silver lower front lip, and “accentuated side air intakes” in matte black on the S6, or dark chrome on the S7.

Audi says more than half of the model grades available in Europe have black or dark-coloured wheels. There is a range of new 17- to 21-inch wheel designs available in Europe.

New colours include Arcona White and Madeira Brown Metallic for all models, and Grenadine Red Metallic and Ascari Blue Metallic for S Line and S versions.

Inside, S Line versions continue to feature black dashboard and roof trim, a black sports leather steering wheel with contrast stitching, stainless steel pedals and sill plates, and in the A7, S-embossed front seats.

There are new dashboard inserts, with Olive Tree Natural and Ash Volcanic Gray Natural wood inlays, and a Dinamica microfibre option.

Standard equipment on European models now includes LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic parking. The first two are already standard in Australia, while auto parking is standard on the 55 TFSI S Line V6 locally.

Orders are due to open for the 2024 Audi A6 and A7 range – including the S6 and S7 performance variants – tomorrow, 1 June 2023. Australian arrival timing is yet to be locked in.
