Hyundai Motor America reported August total sales of 88,523 units, a 12% increase compared with August 2024 and an all-time August record. Hyundai set total sales records in August for Elantra N, Elantra HEV, Santa Fe HEV, Palisade, IONIQ 5, and Santa Fe family. EV sales reached new heights, jumping 72% compared with August 2024. Total sales records for EV, HEV, and electrified vehicles reinforce Hyundai’s momentum in sustainable mobility.

Hyundai retail sales rose 8% to 79,021 units in August, compared to the same month in 2024. This growth was driven by strong performances across both electrified and core models. Electrified vehicles accounted for 32% of the retail sales mix, with IONIQ 5 retail sales climbing 60% year-over-year. The momentum extended across the lineup, with the Palisade model (+50%) delivering exceptional results, reinforcing Hyundai’s reputation as a trusted brand in both electrified and traditional segments.

“August was an exceptional month for us, with retail and total sales pacing well above our previous best August results,” said Randy Parker, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America. “This momentum keeps us firmly on track for our best year ever. We’re especially proud of the record-breaking results from key models like the Elantra HEV, Palisade, and IONIQ 5, which continue to resonate strongly with customers. These achievements underscore the strength of our product lineup and the unwavering commitment of our retail partners across the country.”
