Dacia wins ‘Best Value Brand’ at the Auto Trader New Car Awards for the sixth time

Dacia remains the undisputed value champion after being crowned ‘Best Value Brand’ for the sixth time at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2024, with the Dacia Sandero Stepway successfully defending its title of ‘Best Value New Car’.

Committed to providing UK car buyers with quality, robust cars that blend affordability with a fun ownership experience, these awards prove Dacia is doing just that! It has had a stronghold on the ‘Best Value New Car’ trophy for the last three years with the Sandero Stepway winning last year and the iconic Duster scooping the award in 2022.

As in previous years, ‘real world’ feedback from car owners was behind Dacia’s success. This year’s award winners were determined after 200,000 UK car owners shared their thoughts on their car through an online survey hosted by the renowned online car buying resource. They were asked to rate their cars in 16 areas, from reliability and performance to appearance and running costs, as well as how satisfied they were overall with their car and how likely they would be to recommend it to others.

On Dacia and the Sandero Stepway beating every other manufacturer and new car when it comes to value, Erin Baker, Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, said: “The Dacia Sandero Stepway continues to appeal to those looking for value in their new car. This is our favourite car on a budget, and this is the second year running that Dacia has taken away this award. The Sandero Stepway offers excellent value for money and generous levels of kit for the price. Starting from £15,295 on-the-road, the Sandero Stepway is one of the most affordable new cars in the UK, yet also has a generous specification. Its features include Dacia’s modular roof bars that convert from longitudinal to latitudinal to carry loads of up to 80 kg and the availability of Dacia’s intuitive Media Control with a dedicated application or the eight-inch Media Display infotainment system.

What’s more, current Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) offers see the Sandero Stepway represent even better value. Until 1 July, the adventurous model is available for the same monthly payment as the Sandero Expression and Extreme versions bought via the limited-time, 6.9% APR representative four-year PCP also attracting an increased deposit contribution of £750.

The offers mean the Sandero Stepway can now be purchased for £162 per month* on a 6.9% APR Representative, following a customer deposit of £2,915. This puts car buyers behind the wheel of the Essential TCe 100 Bi-Fuel version for the same monthly amount as a Sandero TCe 100 Bi-Fuel.

Nearer the top of the range, customers can have the Sandero Stepway Extreme TCe 90 Auto for £214¹ per month on the same 6.9% APR representative PCP offer, which matches the £214 monthly cost of the Sandero’s flagship Journey TCe 90² Auto version. Alternatively, the Extreme TCe 100 Bi-Fuel³ is available for £186 per month – the same monthly amount as that of the Sandero Journey TCe 100 Bi-Fuel⁴, both on 6.9% APR representative.
