To celebrate 60 years of the iconic Maserati Quattroporte, the House of Trident’s elegant and luxurious saloon, Maserati Club UK held a special celebration in the form of showcasing all six generations at this year’s Salon Privé Blenheim.

To commemorate this important anniversary and the enduring legacy of the longest-running nameplate in the brand’s illustrious history, the Maserati Club UK exhibited almost 80 cars at their aptly named ‘Quattroparty’, including 41 pristine examples of the Quattroporte from past and present.

The special event took place at Salon Privé Supercar Saturday & Club Trophy presented by Lockton on the North Lawn of Blenheim Palace, with one model from every generation of Quattroporte on display. The owners representing virtually every generation were naturally in attendance with their pride and joys, sharing their enthusiasm for the brand, as well as anecdotes of their cars with the showgoers.

During the event, the Salon Prive Club Car Trophy Parade awards went to an MC20 owned by Brian Goldman and a Quattroporte II owned by Thierry Dehaeck, which despite being extremely rare, was driven with great joy from Belgium, by trusted compatriots of the owner.

Michael Roberts, the Chairman and Director of the Maserati Club UK praised the excellent condition of the cars that were on display and thanked the owners for their contribution to the unique event.

“The Maserati Club members who conceived and organised this display deserve the greatest credit. It is splendid to have such an impressive array of Quattroportes at Salon Privé Blenheim to celebrate one of the Trident brand’s most iconic and longest running models. It was very special to be able to see the evolution of the models through six generations of Quattroporte. The Club is grateful to everyone who came together to make it possible. As we see the brand evolving and looking to the future, it is important for us to also look back and celebrate the incredible heritage that continues to inspire us all and our passion for the brand and its extraordinary, special creations.”

Launched in 1963, the Quattroporte, which translates to “four doors” in Italian, was a groundbreaking innovation, blending the sophistication of a grand tourer with the comfort and practicality of a saloon. Over six decades, the Quattroporte has evolved through multiple generations. From the early models, which captured the essence of Italian design with their sleek lines and powerful V8 engines, to the latest versions featuring advanced technology and even greater levels of luxury, the Quattroporte has consistently set benchmarks in the automotive world.

The Quattroporte combined the style of a grand tourer with the power and speed of a high-performance sports car, setting new standards for luxury saloons and pushing the boundaries of what four-door cars can achieve.

As Maserati celebrates 60 years of its legendary model, the Quattroporte remains a favourite of luxury car enthusiasts around the world and although production of the latest model ceased in 2023, many elements of it continue to inspire the brand’s range of cars.

On the official Maserati stand on the South Lawn at Salon Privé, the House of Trident displayed the all-new GranCabrio Trofeo for the first time in the UK. In addition, her hard-top siblings, the new GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Folgore also shone brightly. The latter is the first electric vehicle from Maserati, symbolising the brand’s commitment to evolve into the future whilst staying deeply connected to its historic Italian roots.

Rounding off its impressive display was Maserati’s flagship model, the MC20 Cielo. Resplendent in Rosso Vincente, this dramatic spyder supercar, 100% made in Italy, with its twin-turbo three-litre V6 Nettuno engine delighted the crowds across the entirety of the Salon Privé Blenheim event.
