Luxury British EV conversion specialist, Inverted, has today announced the latest addition to its growing portfolio of electrified classic vehicles: the Land Rover Series I, II, and III. Building on the success of its electrified Range Rover Classics, Inverted now brings its signature craftsmanship and innovation to one of Britain’s most beloved 4x4s.

Inverted Series Land Rovers retain the timeless charm of the originals while being reimagined as fully electric, modernised machines, with cutting-edge engineering. These vehicles are now ideal for everything from countryside adventures and beach trips with the family, to emissions-free city driving.

Customers are invited to collaborate directly with Inverted Founder, Harry Millington, to design a vehicle that suits their personal style — whether that’s staying true to the original aesthetic or creating a completely unique build.

  • At the heart of the transformation is a 62kWh waterproof battery pack, cleverly split between front and rear to optimise weight distribution and improve traction.
  • 160 bhp electric motor delivers approximately 900Nm of torque directly to the transfer box, resulting in a 0–60 mph time of around 8 seconds.
  • The original transfer box is retained, offering high/low range ratios and a locking differential for serious off-road capability.
  • Charging is simple and flexible, with both a 6.6kW Type 2 charger and a 60kW CCS rapid charger included as standard.
  • A rapid charge from 20% to 80% takes approximately 38 minutes, and with a real-world range of around 120 miles,
  • Three distinct drive modes — Eco, Traffic, and Off-Road — offer tailored performance and regenerative braking profiles to suit.
  • Meanwhile, electric power steering and servo-assisted brakes ensure a far more refined driving experience than the original vehicles ever offered.

“Series Land Rovers are beautiful, iconic machines,” says Harry Millington, Founder of Inverted. “But let’s face it, not everyone wants to wrestle with a choke on a cold morning or breathe in exhaust fumes that waft through the car. Our electrified versions preserve everything people love about these classics while making them more fun, more reliable, and infinitely more usable.”

Launch – Land Rover Defender Kit
Additionally, as Land Rover specialists, Inverted’s market leading & one-of-a-kind Range Rover Classic electrification kit, now integrates seamlessly into Land Rover Defenders. Not only does it offer 82kWh’s without compromising boot space, this unique pack is both heated and cooled ensuring your Defender is ready to face any climate. This cross-compatibility offers Defender enthusiasts the same high-quality electric powertrain, performance, and reliability that Inverted is known for — all while maintaining the rugged character and capability that defines the Defender lineage.

With both 300 bhp and 450 bhp motor options, permanent 4WD, and rapid charging (up to 75kW), an Inverted Range Rover Classic or Defender delivers serious performance with zero tailpipe emissions.
