H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco drives the new McLaren Artura Spider for honorary lap of Monaco Grand Prix

The new high-performance hybrid McLaren Artura Spider today made its dynamic debut at the Monaco Grand Prix at the weekend, exciting spectators during an opening lap driven by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The new Artura Spider, finished in McLaren Orange, was provided to H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco on the starting line. Accompanied by H.S.H Hereditary Prince Jacques, he then drove the Grand Prix circuit, giving spectators the opportunity to appreciate the exhilarating performance of McLaren’s latest supercar.

Alongside the dynamic debut of the Artura Spider at the Monaco Grand Prix, McLaren’s recently unveiled Senna Sempre livery was seen for the first time by the public. Created in parallel with a bespoke one-off livery for the MCL38 Formula 1 cars that were raced this weekend, the Senna Sempre livery was hand-painted on a production McLaren Senna and displayed at McLaren’s retailer in Monaco over the weekend.

The new Artura Spider is introduced with significant upgrades to power, performance and driver engagement, which combine with the sensory pleasures of open-top driving to add a remarkable new dimension to the Artura. Further elevating the Artura’s next-generation supercar performance, the enhancements engineered for the Spider have also been incorporated into the Artura coupe, with a new model introduced simultaneously.

Both new Spider and new coupe deliver the highest levels of dynamic performance – up to and including outstanding circuit ability – as well as meeting the requirements of regular driving and offering the near-silent electric-drive so beneficial in urban environments.
