Aston Martin Works, the heritage home of the marque and the place where many of its most famous models of the 20th Century were manufactured, is bringing to market perhaps the most significant collection of modern Aston Martin Zagato models ever curated.

The privately-held four-car collection – comprising three versions of the limited edition Vanquish Zagato in Volante, Shooting Brake and Speedster form along with a hyper-rare DBS GT Zagato – represents a near-complete anthology of Aston Martin’s most recent collaborations with the famed Italian design house.

The Vanquish Zagato, unveiled in concept form in 2016 at the prestigious Italian Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at Lake Como, generated unprecedented customer demand that resulted in a strictly limited 99-car production run. In the years that followed, the Vanquish Zagato Coupe was joined by three other bodystyles, again produced in strictly limited numbers, to deliver a total production run across all four models of just 325 cars.

The Vanquish Zagato Volante, Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake and Vanquish Zagato Speedster all feature in the collection coming to market via Aston Martin Works. Of these, the Vanquish Zagato Speedster is the rarest, with a production run of just 28 cars, while the Volante and Shooting Brake varieties both adhered to the 99-car production limit set with the original Coupe.

All four models were based on the previous generation Aston Martin Vanquish S – itself quite a collector’s item. Each Zagato enjoys the combination of a 600PS naturally-aspirated V12 mated to the smooth, slick-shifting Touchtronic III transmission.

Together with adaptive damping – fine-tuned for each model – the Vanquish Zagato family provides exceptional driving pleasure that is every bit as stimulating and memorable as its design.

Joining the Zagato trio in the collection is perhaps the rarest Aston Martin Zagato of all: a DBS GT Zagato.

Created to celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the famed Italian design house, the DBZ Centenary Collection was a unique two-car homage to Aston Martin’s longstanding association with Zagato.

At the time of its launch in 2019, the DBZ Centenary Collection – comprising DBS GT Zagato and DB4 GT Zagato Continuation in a strictly limited production run of 19 pairs – was the most valuable new sports car suite yet built by Aston Martin with a price tag of £6m, plus local taxes.

Among its many highlights, the DBS GT Zagato featured a world first in the shape of the first automotive application of configurable carbon and metal 3D-printed interior finishes.

Commenting on the four-car collection offered via Aston Martin Works the company’s Sales Manager, Justin Pearce, said: “Rarity and design style are, of course, synonymous with Aston Martin but these characteristics are taken to a whole new level by the suite of sports cars we see here.

“Any Aston Martin bearing the Zagato name is immediately elevated into the realms of sports car lore, but for four such models to be offered together – including an almost impossibly rare DBS GT Zagato – makes this collection one of the most important, and beautiful, gatherings ever seen.”
