Skywell, the trailblazing EV brand that combines strong build quality with advanced technology, has unveiled its upcoming ‘Q’ hatchback at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The agile and athletic new model is Skywell’s first car to make its global debut in Europe; demonstrating the brand’s market aspirations.

In true Skywell fashion, the Skywell Q is underpinned by its durability, extensive warranty and generous equipment levels, which includes the large opening ‘Skyroof’, a large 15.6” touchscreen display and a 360° panoramic parking camera.

There will be a choice of two battery options with the larger battery offering a combined range of over 300 miles and a recharge time of around 20 minutes (10% to 80% at 25°C), while the spirited 150kW motor propels the Q to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds via the front wheels.

Measuring 4,297mm long, 1,836mm wide and 1,536mm high, the Q sits firmly in the popular ‘Class C’ family car segment. The sleek and energetic design, which is underpinned by the low profile, dynamic front LED lightbar and 18” alloy wheels, has been inspired by the ‘Skyhome’ concept and reflects its sporty and athletic nature.

The Q’s ergonomic and surprisingly spacious interior places a firm emphasis on practicality, without compromising on character thanks to the large Skyroof, composite fibre panelling, 128-colour ambient lighting and orange accents on the upholstery and dashboard.

Through Skywell’s consumer electronics heritage, the Q boasts a superior infotainment system which, in addition to the large 15.6” touchscreen display, consists of the premium German-engineered Metz sound system with 8 speakers, wireless smartphone connectivity and touchscreen displays for rear seat occupants.

Other key features include the wireless phone charging and the 220v socket for charging larger electrical items like laptops.

The Q also features a comprehensive ADAS package to increase safety and comfort, including Intelligent Cruise Assist (ICA), Autonomous Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA).

Like the BE11 which goes on sales in November, the Skywell Q is expected to be competitively priced with exact UK specifications announced nearer to the launch date (expected in Q3 2025). The Q will be backed by Skywell’s extensive industry-leading 7-year, 100,000-mile warranty and an additional 8-year, 155,000-mile warranty for the battery.
