GM Korea Sold 19,215 Vehicles In July

GM Korea Company sold 19,215 vehicles in July, with 4,886 vehicles sold domestically and 14,329 vehicles exported.

GM Korea’s domestic sales and exports in July declined on an annual basis due to the aftermath of the automobile chip shortage. The Chevrolet Trailblazer headed GM Korea’s domestic sales, with 1,991 units sold last month.

The Chevrolet Spark followed the Trailblazer, achieving 1,571 units of sales in the domestic market. The Spark has not only improved its product quality but also its environmental sustainability through cutting-edge technologies and processes at GM Korea’s new Changwon paint shop, which was completed in March.

The Chevrolet Colorado maintained its high sales on demand of 548 units, which was an increase of 48.5% from the previous year. The Colorado — an authentic pickup truck with a rigid, full-box frame body and a high-tech four-wheel system that enables excellent performance both on the road and off the road — has received praise as the optimal vehicle for outdoor leisure activities such as camping and sleeping outdoors during the summer vacation season.

Among  14,329 units of GM Korea’s export sales in July, the Chevrolet Trailblazer led exports with 11,484 vehicles shipped overseas along with its sibling, the Buick Encore GX. Positioned as the key model for GM Korea’s business normalization, the Trailblazer was named Korea’s most exported finished vehicle in June, thanks to its recognition at home and abroad for its outstanding versatility and excellent value for money.

“Korean consumers are showing great interest in our RV models such as the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Colorado, despite the resurgence of COVID-19,” said GM Korea Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing Cesar Toledo. “We will continue to deliver fine Chevrolet products with outstanding brand value through our extended lineup backed by exceptional marketing activities.”

This activity will be held on Chevrolet’s official website and at its dealerships, with participants receiving a variety of gifts.
